What wording should i use for invitations to a fundraising reception?

I need help. It’s a classy reception with a nationally know speaker. Tickets are 0 and 0 for host. What do i say on the invitation?

I’d say stick to the tried and true: You are cordially invited to attend a ….(whatever function). Our guest speaker will be …. (make sure to use the speaker’s proper title). Please RSVP prior to … (whatever date you have in mind and is suitable to do the preparations for). We look forward to your attendance. Check with a local printer for their recommendations, also. A great resource too is your chamber of commerce. They often do these type of functions or a local university that hosts these type of functions.

Your invited to attend this first ever event for fundraising to help so in so do whatever. To pump you up even more nationally known speaker will be there. This speaker comes from some place and has a degree in whatever.
