they take everything if they cant sell it they will toss it. plato’s closet takes gently used clothes for money and any charity will take just about anything if you are unsure just go to there website
What charity shops will take varies from shop to shop. They want things that are clean, in working condition, and would be something that someone would actually want to buy. That means no dirty or torn clothes, no dirty dishes, no underwear, no stained or broken items, etc.
I prefer to give things to Goodwill, because they use their stores to raise money to fund their programs that help people gain the skills needed to get a job, and to train people who have difficulty finding work, with no regard to what their religion may or may not be.
Salvation Army are the ones who turn away drunks. Most drunks are homeless, it takes the pain away.
At the Salvation Army here we accept everything. However, we do not want your useless crap and we have no room for it and fill our dumpster in 3 days. If it isn’t something you would buy then do not give it to them.
