Do you think God understands if a person steals food to feed their children?><?someone I know will do this
I have a friend who is a nice person and feels they have to steal food sometimes when they dont have money to buy food , this I know is moraly wrong, but feel this is something I dont know if others feel some things God understands any input will help me deal with the knowledge of what I know my friend is doing
Also this person has no way other than the kind support of others who always say if we can help we will but dont mean it the food stamps will come in for them at the end of next month even the churches are exhausted with the volume of people they help in our city they did try asking first so maybe i should have made that clear before hand but anyway I can see that many folks have good ideas that even I didnt hink of such as food pantrys and banks I will call myself to get them the help they need , he or she is in torment over what they do and as a last effort they stole some dried beans my heart breaks over this and since I have cleaned out my own pantry and gave what I had but with all these great ideas I will now do more to see to it that these kids dont have to go to bed or school or church Hungry,,

I hope so because if he doesn’t he is either no good, or doen’t exist
There are places to get food without having to steal it.
We all pay higher prices because of theft, so no, I don’t agree with it.
Maybe there are exceptions to certian circumstances, such as killing in War, or self defence. This is not a sin. Stealing to stay alive I think would follow along the same guidelines. However if you can avoid it, such as signing up for WIC and food stamps. But if you are in danger of dying, you need to eat.
Of course he does. God knows everything including our intentions. He knows our every thought and feeling. I’m sure God feels nothing but sympathy for your friend’s plight.
It would be a lot more morally wrong to let her kids starve.
There but for the grace of God go I – or YOU as well. Don’t judge; try to help. Help her find food banks/pantries, WIC if she qualifies, or food stamps. If you’re in a city of any size, she can go to a Jewish Family Services center whether she’s Jewish or not to get help. Catholic Charities is also available to people of any faith; I’m sure many churches would help, too.
If you’re really a friend to this person, you’ll stop debating the morality issue and start looking to find some churches, shelters, or social services in your area that can get the poor woman some food so she doesn’t have to steal it.
He don’t have to steal the food, he should do some work so that he might get some money & he can feed his children.
No . But some people do.
I believe its wrong. They can get food from many places such as salvation army churches etc… there are many programs. Now if this person feels that their pride doesnt permit them to go ask and stealing is more preferable then they now hide to sins. God did not Tho shall not steal but just in case your hungry go ahead.. He makes provisions. Seek and you shall find ask and it shall be given unto you.
Sinning is NEVER JUSTIFIED! Stealing is stealing! When we justify what we do when we know it is wrong, we are simply making ourselves feel better about our poor decision. If your friend sought out God for help I am 100% positive that he and his kids would be fed. I have found in my own life when it gets tough, bills are late, no money I look my self in the mirror and realize God is getting my attention. If you want to feel better help your friend into a nice Church; through God and generosity your friend and family will be taken care of even through the toughest times; the honest way.
Where does the Bible mention that you can break a commandment under certain circumstances? Has your friend even tried praying? How about going to a church food pantry?
God makes sure no one needs to steal food. All you have to do is to pray and He will provide dear….
