Do you know any girl scout charities?

We’re going to start selling cookies soon and I need to know a few charities that we can donate cookies to. Like from people who are on diets, they donate it to some type of charity…

GS doesn’t have any charities that I know of. They might think of donating them to a food bank or shelter.
People who are on diets? My daughters Girl Scout troop last year, brought cookies to the soup kitchen. They handed a few cookies out to each person that got a lunch. Then the leftover cookies were given to the people in the homeless shelter. If I remember right, the girls donated the cookie money (around $1,000) to a family in need where the mom was about to be kicked out of her house with her two children and one of them just got rid of her cancer. It was very sweet and actullay a lot of us in the troop still donate to them today (still in a lot of debt from the medical bills). I actullay drop a $50 bill in her mailbox her week or two.
Good heavens, dear, just look around you — there are many, many organizations that would love to get cookies from Girl Scouts! Our troop has been successful selling cookies on behalf of the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in our town — "If you don’t want to buy cookies for yourself, would you like to donate a box or two to the VA Hospital?" Most people are happy to do that. Our Service Unit (group of neighborhood troops) organizes a big shipment to former neighborhood Scouts and their units in Iraq — just can’t send the gooey chocolate ones
We have also donated them to the American Red Cross for use in blood drives — the cookies they offer after you’ve donated blood, when they feed you juice and cookies. Fire stations and police stations are also popular donation recipients. Homeless shelters love them, soup kitchens love them, food banks/pantries love them. I’m sure you’ll find someone who will be happy to take them off your hands!
