raffle off a babysitter, someone to do yard work, someone to cook dinner for the evening.
Another idea we do is (cost a bit to start but works outforthe best)
have all the kids paint bird houses, tables and chairs for outside, various other things and hold auction!
Do a talent show .. [during school]
Charge everybody [even guest and students] about 50 cents.
Prize money [keep it low]
i had a fundraiser! it was awsome…..but since its close to these holidays…..easter….mothers day….fathers day…..you should do one of these ideas
1) pictures with the easter bunny
2) mothers day flower sale
3) fathers day fishing trip
YOU COULD GO AROUND TO LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ASK THEM FOR DONATIONS AND THEN TAKE ALL THE ITEMS THAT YOU GET FROM THEM AND HAVE EITHER A REGULAR AUCTION OR A SILENT AUCTION, I HAVE SEEN THIS DONE A FEW TIMES AND IT RAISES A PRETTY GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY, AND YOU COULD DO THE BAKE SELL ALONG WITH IT OR AUCTION OF THE BAKED GOODS AS WELL
You could do a casino night.
Everyone would come in and buy chips to play the games. They wouldn’t get their money back, but the people with the most chips at the end of the night could win a little prize.
sell butter braids or candles they seem to be a big hit in my high school…
Try a yard/tag for donated items. Procure new items donated by businesses and have a raffle. See about candy bar sales and car washes.
We did a beauty pagent this year and raised money for PTA.
We also had a "Mr. GQ" pagent for the guys, which is normally very entertaining. All you would need really are participants, a speaker, prize/trophy, tickets, and a place to do it in! It actually started an annual pagent at our school!
WHEN MY SON WAS IN ELEM. SCHOOL, WE PARENTS OF THE CHILDREN IN THE CLASS, DONATED AND PUT ON SPAGETTI DINNERS FOR THE WHOLE YEAR AND AT THE END OF THE YEAR, WE HAD MADE ENOUGH MONEY TO SEND EACH CHILD AND 5 CHAPERONES TO DISNEY WORLD. OTHER FUNDRAISERS YOU CAN DO WOULD BE CAR WASHES ALSO OR 50/50 RAFFLES, WHERE YOU SELL TICKETS AND HALF GOES TO THE WINNER AND THE OTHER HALF GOES TO THE CLASS OR YOU CAN TAKE THE WINNERS PORTION AND BREAK IT DOWN INTO SEVERAL CASH PRIZES. YOU COULD ALSO GO TO SEVERAL BUSINESS AND GET THEM TO DONATE ITEMS AND RAFFLE THEM OFF ALSO. TRY AND STAY AWAY FROM SELLING CANDY AND MAGAZINES BECAUSE JUST ABOUT EVERY SCHOOL DOES THAT AND PEOPLE GET TIRED OF SEEING KIDS COMING WITH THEM AND TELLING THEM NO THANKS.
