The statistics are quite clear on this one; by far, yes.
Thief all what other people have with one hand, give back some percents with the other. Who call that charity ?
certainly yes… as far as i know they are the most visible nation who gives the outmost humanitarian aid and international relief projects. well this is not a fact but as far as we have here in philippines, they’ve certainly helped us a lot. well the bad thing is we tend to depen on them to much that without them we are nothing.
Thats just natural if youre the richest country in the world.
The dollar figures are high because Americans dont need all that money.
Maybe for the volunteer orgs yes. But the government, no. Yeah he’s right, give with one hand take with the other. Help with more strings attached.
i thought i read somewhere that it was australia.
Apparently so. Without this massive aid the world would be a incredible lot worse. This huge aid programme operates almost immediately when there is a catastrophe in the world. Every time they are up there at the top giving to the less able and those in need.
Donations were up $15 billion in 2005.
Charitable Donations by Americans Reach Record High. Individual giving accounts for 83 percent of $295 billion total in 2006
Very much so. Whenever there’s a natural disaster within our own country or overseas, we’re one of the first to provide aid, both financial and in the form of food, medical supplies, etc.
Who knows. I wanted to answer this but I couldn’t come up with the words. (Sorry)
But we know charity is abused, period. It is a write off on your taxes so If I want a boat, well I could say "It’s for charity. You know. For the retards and sh-t."
Hell, If I’m really good, I can prosper and slap the IRS in the face at the same time, If you get my drift…(Wink Wink)
