I am looking to represent a charity and I absolutely love dogs. Especially chihuahuas…anyone know of a good dog or animal charity??

ASPCA for sure. They help animals that have been abused or neglected and help them find new homes and even pursuit the cruel owners.
SPCA. It’s the one we support too. We just did a 5k charity walk and I raised over $1,000 for them.
Personally, what I would do is just try to find a no-kill shelter in my area, via google or the yellow-pages.
Well I’d say PeTA and HSUS are off the list. (Despite their claim to love animals, they both have millions if not billions of dollars and do not own a single animal shelter. HSUS is a lobbying group, and is seperate from the local human society shelters.)
I’d go for a small local charity if I were you, they need all the help they can get. You can ask your vet or local animal shelters about how you can help.
There are so many..I’d google it. I love the HSUS of the U.S., or the ASPCA, but the Pedigree Adoption drive is one..http://www.chihuahuarescue.com/
and there are too many that I found just typing chihuahua rescue or small dog rescue..try it gdluck
Dog’s Trust is my personal favourite, but there are hundreds, of course.
Well done
I always say support local. Big time animal charities like The Humane Society of the United States, The American Society Preventing Cruelty to Animals are good, but they recieve many donations and pledges for support and probably don’t make as much of them as your local shelter could. Supporting them might support an ad campaign or event, but a local shelter is likely buying food, bedding, medication, etc. with their donations. Call your local shelter and ask what they need or how you can represent them. This will help you search for a shelter near you (and you can check if they have chihuahuas):

Good luck!
