my organisation is not registered it is a kind of self made and funded initiative that have purely statrted out of pitty for the kids & single mothers on streets. These people are made up of those that come from war areas of the country. I currently use 40% of my salary for things like food and clothing and medical help especially for the younger kids. I cannot afford to house them. They have many dangers among which are rape, cold, disease which includes std’s( HIV too) illeteracy in terms of how to cope with the life in the city. many women get pregnat almost every year and most certainly abandon the kids. This is creating a problem to our society of increase in depedant population in all age groups and increase in crime rate because they have got to survive. The city authorities usually sweep them off the streets harshly but they are ugandans too and are just trying to survive. I feel with more funding i would get them in more comfortably.

I am unemployed. I want to make the best of it and keep my sanity. Do you know of any clubs or organization I can join or volunteer for? An added bonus is if they improve you in some way or might down the road help place you with a career.

Also if you know a website I can look for a listing of organizations that works as well.
